Volksparkstadion Hamburg (formerly Imtech Arena)

In 1953, the Volksparkstadion (formerly Imtech Arena ) was rebuilt in Hamburg. It is the home of the Bundesliga team Hamburger SV and was the venue for many national games as well as the world championships in 1974 and 2006. In 1998 the stadium was converted and rotated by 90°. The German Aviation Agency had to grant a special permit as the stadium is on the approach path of the airport in Hamburg. One highlight after converting the arena was the World Championships in Germany in 2006. A total of 4 preliminary round games and a quarter final game were played. However this stadium is also used for concerts and other sporting events. A total of 57,000 people can watch the events. The historic stations in the history of the stadium can be viewed in the in-house museum.

Kermi is represented in the Volksparkstadion with more than 170 convectors.

Ice stadium Moscow

Apart from football, ice-hockey is also a popular sport among the Russian population. This is apparent purely from the fact that there are now six ice stadiums in Moscow now. From April to May 2007, Russia was the venue for the Ice Hockey World Championships. The most up-to-date ice stadium was built in Moscow for this occasion in 2006.

With convectors and steel panel radiators Kermi ensures comfortable warmth in the icy Russian winter.

Barclaycard Arena Hamburg

The Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg is one of the largest event venues in Europe. A total of 40,000 m² gross floor space is available. Every year, up to 125 events with more than 1 million people in the audience are organised and executed. Many rock and pop giants take the sword in their hands and organise their concerts in the arena built for up to 16000 audience members. Furthermore, it is also the home of the ice hockey team Hamburg Freezers and the HSV handball team. The arena is equipped with a total of 66 boxes. Four themed restaurants and four bars with a total of 2000 seats ensure the guests do not want for food or drink.

Kermi is represented with around 250 steel panel radiators and around 55 convectors in the Barclaycard Arena which ensure a pleasant ambiance for the visitors.

Leisure park Monte Kaolino Amberg

The deposits of waste quartz sand from the processing china clay in the Amberger Kaolinwerke over decades created the white mountain “Monte Kaolino” near Hirschau. In 1957 already, the unique qualities of this mountain were discovered and it was first used for summer ski events. Other facilities such as the lift system, camp site and gastronomy were created. The largest event is probably the annual sandboard world championships that take place. But also the Sandski European championship, the Sand-Big-Foot championship and the Monte-Grand:prix make the mountain come alive. The overall concept of the leisure park includes a dune pool with a total area of nearly 12,000 m². Water slides and dune flair make the pool landscape particularly attractive.

Inside the newly designed premises of the dune pool, more than 750 m² of the Kermi x-net underfloor heating system have been installed, thus ensuring optimal heating distribution.

Kurfürstenbad Amberg

Only a few minutes away from the town centre of Amberg, the Kurfürstenbad is centrally accessible. With seven pools, the facility offers all water sport options. The versatile design of the swimming landscape has something suitable for everyone. Whether with sporting ambition or an informal, pleasant atmosphere – everyone can find something to suit them here. An 82 m long giant slide, a wild water river, Niagara falls and much more will ensure carefree bathing pleasure. Friends of wellness and well tended saunas will find something to enjoy. In the newly designed sauna landscape, visitors can expect to find a trained team and an special kind of sauna enjoyment.

In the so-called “Seefartensauna”, an area of more than 700 m² is kept warm by the Kermi x-net panel heating system.

Racecourse Iffezheim

The history of the International Galopprennen Baden-Baden goes back to 1858. Iffezheim became the most famous race course in Germany and the “Grosse Preis von Baden” as the highlight of the season enjoys the greatest international acclaim of all German races. Partnerships with the Japan Racing Association and the race courses in Rome, Meran, Vichy as well as the Australian Victoria Racing Club emphasise the international esteem. On September 5th, 1858, the horse races in Iffezheim celebrated its premiere. Today outside the gates of Baden-Baden, three meetings a year are held with a total of 15 race days and 13 group races. Apart from that, there are open-air concerts, events, trade fairs and celebrations. This means that every year, more than quarter of a million people visit the race course at Iffezheim.

When he club stands were built, 5600 m² of the Kermi x-net tacker system were used.

Olympiaworld Innsbruck Austria

Innsbruck has already hosted the Winter Olympics twice and is captivating with its breathtaking backdrop of the Alps. Numerous events and leisure activities attract many visitors to the capital of Tirol every year.

The Olympiahalle was designed to be a modern, multi-functional hall and meets the infrastructural and technical requirements for events of all types and sizes: Sport events such as the IIHF ice hockey world championships in 2005, concerts, shows, TV-transmission, congresses and trade fairs find themselves in a perfect environment. The stands will hold up to 8000 people. This hall also has generously dimensioned VIP lounges over 4 floors with a total of 1300 m² floor space.

Kermi is represented in the Olympiahalle Innsbruck with around 170 radiators.

SchücoArena Bielefeld

The stadium of the German sports club Arminia Bielefeld was opened in 1926 and until today, is known at the (Bielefelder)-Alm or Alm stadium. Only temporary then, it has gradually been extended and modernised. Today the SchücoArena has ultra-modern stands. Solar panels have been integrated in the glass roof construction of the East stand. This stadium can hold up to around 26,500 people.

A special feature of the stadium is its position. Just a 15 minute walk from the station in the middle of a residential area, it offers a special flair for the guests at the SchücoArena. Steel panel radiators and heating panel produced by Kermi have been installed in the stadium of the Deutschen Sportclubs Arminia Bielefeld.

Regensburg Westbad und Sauna-Paradies

The Regensburg Westbad has gained a new attraction: a sauna landscape with a beautiful view of the quarry pond and the Winzerer Heights. Since the start of the winter season 06/07, you can also enjoy health in a hot/cold manner in the new Sauna-Paradies. The x-net C11 knob system underfloor heating system by Kermi ensures the right level of feel-good warmth.

Volksbank Arena Hamburg

The Alexander Otto Sportstiftung is the building owner of the Volksbank Arena in the Altonaer Volkspark. The around 7000 m² large arena is turned into an ice and ball sport area as well as including ancillary areas. This area will be available for popular sports, school sports and professional sports. So this arena is becoming the new home of the two famous teams Hamburg Freezers and HSV Handball. A fan shop and gastronomic facilities supply the visitors and fans on the Volksbank Arena with the important things in life. The around 2700 m² ice surface can be used for a variety of events. Regardless of whether ice hockey, figure skating or public ice skating, many people interested in sports come here to enjoy themselves. On top of that, another arena of nearly 1200 m² is available for ball sports. This means the Volksbank Arena offers a number of different training and competition options.

Apart from convectors, a total of more than 100 Kermi steel panel radiators were installed in the Volksbank Arena. This ensures a pleasant feeling of warmth in the ice-free zones.

BayArena Leverkusen

The Leverkusen BayArena is the stadium of the premiere division football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The traditional club founded in 1904 has been playing in the premiere league without interruption since 1979 and has numerous national and international successes to show for it. The BayArena originally built as the “Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion” was opened again after extensive conversion and modernization measures on August 15, 2009. Apart from expanding the total capacity to 30,210 seats, the functional and player areas were also extensively expanded. With its tent-type roof construction with a 217 metre diameter, the stadium is a new trademark in Leverkusen. Apart from the home games of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the BayArena is the venue for the women’s football world championship in 2011.

To heat the sporting facility, a total of 3800 m² of industrial panel heating as well as more than 600 heating panels and convectors made by Kermi are being used.
